This webinar is part of the collaborative work of the Blue Economy and Bioeconomy Cluster Builder programmes to encourage cross sectoral synergies, making sure that SMEs have good visibility and awareness of these cross sectoral opportunities.

In Scotland, there are currently over 84,500 jobs in the Blue Economy. This is predicted to grow to up to 99,000 jobs by 2030. At present, the Bioeconomy contributes over £700m to the Scottish economy, well on the way to its target of £900m by 2025.

As the foundation of a strong, sustainable, and diverse Blue Economy and Bioeconomy in Scotland, SMEs can move in a nimble and efficient way to make the most of these commercial opportunities.

The Blue Economy Cluster Builder provides an inclusive and free-of-charge service to ensure that Scotland’s SMEs are positioned to gain the optimum share of market growth and compete with other international Blue Economies.
